To me, writing is...

To me, writing is an art, but more importantly, a creative medium through which I express my thoughts, feelings, and inner self to the world.  While writing can be interpreted in a variety of ways, it is ultimately a mode of communication between writers and readers.  It is this unique relationship between the writer and reader that is the hallmark of good writing.  When a reader feels engaged by a piece of writing, the writer has been successful in his or her endeavor.

To me, writing is a creative and most special way to communicate with other people.  It is an intimate and personal art.  It is something in which I find importance as a writer and as a reader.  It is something to be celebrated.  It is a basic form of expression which can be as elaborate or as simple as we choose it to be.
